SuperChefs at Fusion Festival 2011
On July 16 & 17, 2011, SuperChefs Cookery for Kids SuperChefs Cookery was on the Fusion Festival Cooking Stage, with the SuperChefs serving yogurt smoothies and making yogurt berry parfaits and frozen yogurt pops. It was a great time, complete with the SuperChefs Circus Live characters, fog machines, 50 year old yogurt, and a great MC job by Michael Morgan. Special thanks to Chef Joe at the Westin Bayshore for helping Fionn and Brooklyn get ready for the demo, Brian Chow for video, and everyone on the SuperChefs team for helping serve the smoothies. |

On Sunday July 26-29th, 2009, twenty children from the Britannia Community Centre area of Vancouver were invited to partake in the inaugural SuperChefs Cookery at Zajac Ranch. For many of these kids, it was their only opportunity to go away for the summer. |

The SuperChefs of the Universe entertain and educate children about the power of nutrition and exercise and the vital roles they play in your living a long disease free life. This video was produced to point out the dangerous condition that North American children are in, 1 out of every 3 is overweight and 1 out of every 5 is obese leading to premature heart disease, diabetes, cardio vascular problems and liver and kidney disease. The SuperChefs know that fighting childhood obesity is a responsibility we all share! |

On October 8, 2009 some of the children that attended the SuperChefs Cookery at Zajac Ranch in August 2009 were able to take their newly acquired culinary skills to the next incredible level by preparing lunch for the Diplomat's Spousal Luncheon at the Westin Bayshore resort during the Diplomatic Forum hosted by Foreign Affairs Ministry of Canada. The children, working under the direction of GM of Westin Bayshore Jean Luc Barone and Executive Chef Michael Batke prepared a lunch that many delegates noted was "simply the best they had ever attended!". The event was a talk show format hosted by Michael Morgan and featured a line up of guest speakers including childhood obesity expert Dr. Jean Pierre Chanoine, creator of SuperChefs Dr. Greg Chang, Distinguished Canadian and Former Chancellor Simon Fraser University Milton Wong and Circus West Artistic Director Jay Nunns. |

The SuperChefs Community Volunteer Program in partnership with UBC Dentistry aims to improve the health and well-being of children worldwide, by giving them the knowledge and skills to make healthy eating and lifestyle choices and instilling lifelong family and community values using food as a means of communicating these objectives. In order to help realize this goal, SuperChefs Cookery Society has partnered with the UBC Faculty of Dentistry to create a community volunteer clinical program where dental students help run the Cookery and deliver oral health promotion education to children & their families. This partnership will engage UBC dental students in the experiential world of community dentistry, and as such train a future team of health care professionals who understand and are dedicated to promoting overall health to the families they will see on a regular basis in their future practice. The program called the SuperChefs Cookery at Taku on Quadra Island took place Aug 8-11, 2010 on Quadra Island, British Columbia. |
